• Crime Victim Advocates provide free and confidential assistance to victims of relationship violence, sexual assault, and stalking by offering advocacy and resource information in civil and criminal matters. They can also help you with your decision to report sexual assault to law enforcement.
• YWCA offers shelter, crisis counseling and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including the 24-hour crisis hotline; safe shelter for women, men and children fleeing abusive situations; walk-in peer counseling; weekly support groups; in-house short-term therapy; referrals to community resources; and legal, personal and medical advocacy. • Crime Victim Compensation - The Crime Victims Compensation Act provides financial assistance to help crime victims with crime-related medical expenses. Created in 1978, the Montana Crime Victim Compensation Program can help with loss of wages, medical expenses and funeral expenses incurred as the result of personal injury crimes. • Conweb - The State of Montana maintains the Correctional Offender Network (CON), an internet database that contains basic criminal records of felony offenders supervised by the Department of Corrections.

• The Montana Office of Public Assistance administers programs like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF, or cash assistance) and others.
