What We Do

The Grants and Community Resources Department pursues and manages federal, state, and local grant funding that benefits county residents and communities and provides grant support to county departments.

Staff work in three main areas:

  1. County-Funded Grants: Managing competitive application processes and overseeing contracts for county-funded grants
  2. Federal and State Grants: Developing applications and managing grant-funded projects in the areas of community development and behavioral health
  3. Internal Grant Services: Coordinating grant activities and awards for Missoula County and providing county departments with resources, customized support, and technical assistance to secure and administer grant funds

This approach helps Missoula County achieve its mission to enhance and protect the health, welfare, and safety of those who live, work, and visit the county.
